Cortland becomes a “Sister City” with the Youngstown Air Reserve Station (YARS)

The City of Cortland is proud to be a “Sister City” of the Youngstown Air Reserve Station. This partnership will provide mutual support to each party’s respective community events. Moreover, this collaboration comes with the option to participate in advanced emergency services trainings. The Youngstown Air Reserve Station is a critical part of our community as they are the largest employer in Trumbull County and number three employer in Trumbull County. Supporting the base means directly supporting the local men and women who choose to serve.

Pictured below are images from the Eastern Ohio Military Affairs Commissions annual elected official’s breakfast. Present was Council President Kevin Piros, Councilman Richard McClain, Councilman Donald Moore, Mayor Deidre Petrosky, and Special Projects Coordinator Jeffrey Jiang.

The City of Cortland looks forward to a long and prosperous future with the Youngstown Air Reserve Station in our backyard.
