Cortland Beautification Committee – LED bulbs for snowflakes
The Cortland Beautification Committee had an opportunity to buy LED bulbs for the snowflakes at a cost of $0.85 per bulb (down from $1.25 when the Parks Board last looked at the cost in the spring). The snowflakes are a joint labor between the City and the Committee – where the city owns the snowflakes but the committee does all of the maintenance and upkeep. The Beautfication Committee is asking for reimbursement of all or some of the cost of the bulbs. Katie Watson made a motion to reimburse the Cortland Beautification Committee $3,329.25 for the LED lights for the snowflakes, seconded by Frank Daugherty. ALL AYES, MOTION APPROVED.
The parking lot has been paved and should be striped and finished this week or next. The City is looking to put in access road on the North side for bringing in dirt – currently have opportunities to get some fill dirt.
Mulch and drainage have been completed. Need to contact manufacturer for touch up paint or recommendation for cleaning up graffiti.
Parking lot is paved. City is going to stripe parking and no parking areas – allowing access to garage for service equipment in case of emergency.
Benches are installed at pickle ball court. Still some questions about missing swings.
Mr. Roman did some concrete work on Speedway sign.
John Picuri made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Shane Mealy. ALL AYES, MOTION APPROVED.
